(More customer reviews)If you want to drive your cats nuts, let them chase this little thing around your kitchen floor. When it runs into something it turns around and if the cats tip it over, it rights itself. Our cats love it when it goes under the stove and then comes out in a few minutes. They're too freaked out about it to actually put the toy in their mouths because it vibrates, so it keeps them busy and I don't have to worry about them eating it. Kids love it, too, and keeps them wondering just what makes this little invention move since it has no moving parts - only the vibration keeps it going. I recommend this cheap, cute toy.

Hexbug is a micro-creature toy robot inspired by BEAM technology. Hexbug has a few simple behaviors. Once switched on, Hexbug will move forward with a classic alternating tripod gait. If an obstruction touches either of the antennae, or if it detects a loud sound it will back up to the left and then continue forward. The name Hexbug, however, has more to do with the shape of the packaging it is sold in than the number of legs it has.
The nano series, which acts very similarly to a bug in that it will flip itself over if it is placed on its back. It has an off-set motor in it which causes it to vibrate.
