Optimus Prime - R.I.D. Version features a large mechanized base with an Autobot emblem nameplate. This depiction of Prime features the built-in super robot mode in which Prime is interconnected with the mobile battle station portion of his vehicle mode. Gigantic, red, and bulky, Prime carries the fire ladder along the back of his left shoulder plate. His alternate mode, not coincidentally, is a fire truck.This version of Prime was an Autobot leader in the RID continuity. Accordingly, he boasted a version of the Matrix, although there was some jealousy on the part of Ultra Magnus---causing the latter to attack Prime in an attempt to wrest the Matrix for himself. RID Prime was eventually drawn into the multi-dimensional Unicron continuity, alongside Ultra Magnus, and drawn into a battle against Nemesis Prime.
