(More customer reviews)As you can see from the decal on the upper left wing, this Piper J3 is actually made by Exceed RC. It appears to be identical to mine, apart from the batteries supplied and the extra crystal for the transmitter. Before you buy this plane, you should Google "Exceed Piper Cub J3" and view the video of one person's efforts to get this to fly. I have not yet succeeded. Luckily, the nose dives into the ground resulted only in a bent propeller. There are better planes out there.
The plane is underpowered and does not glide well. I still hope to get mine in the air, but you should try to avoid my frustration. Perhaps there really is a detailed manual supplied with this plane. Mine came with a sketchy one-page assembly sheet.
And last, but not least: I paid $79 for mine. Nobody sells this plane at the supposed list price of $199 (which would make it exceedingly overpriced).
A good place to get detailed, reasonably objective reviews of electric RC planes is E Zone at www.ezonemag.com. The reviews include quite a few planes in this price range.
