(More customer reviews)"The Simpsons" is obviously the greatest TV show ever, and anybody who disagrees is on crack. That said, it's pretty hilarious that they've made action figures out of practically every minor character that ever appeared on the show, including several characters that don't even have official names (makes you wonder how many kids' Xmas lists the "Sarcastic Man" popped up on), and of course multiple versions of the main characters as they appear in specific episodes ("Resort Smithers," "Donuthead Homer"). The other day I saw the "Stephan Hawking" action figure and I just about peed my pants laughing. But then you have this set, which is based on a tiny 30-second clip at the end of the episode about Mr. Burns' long-lost childhood teddy bear "Bobo." At some indeterminate point in the future, Burns has morphed into a head in a jar of formaldehyde (later a popular run on "Futurama") with a robotic body, while Smithers is naturally his iDog companion. Also included is Smithers as Bobo himself, a reference to an earlier part of the episode where he's trying to console Mr. Burns for the loss of his toy.
I have resisted spending hundreds of dollars trying to collect this entire series of "action figures" like some kind of dork, but I HAD to get this one - it's just so cool and obscure! If only they had made the Homer-drawn chariot into a fully-realized 3D thing!
