(More customer reviews)Wheeljack is by FAR the most difficult of all Transformers I've ever tried. He is the only one besides RiD Ultra Magnus I've had to use the instructions for, but they are pitifully inadequate. His legs aren't too bad, but his upper body, holy cow! Take my advice and remove the doors (they come off and go back on extremely easily). Even then it's tough, and getting him back is even worse! I relished in the challenge, though, and have managed to become astute at getting him from one mode to the other. It feels strange to take pride in such an accomplishment, but I can't help it.
His Mustang mode looks great though it can be tough to get everything lined up exactly right, and his robot mode is nothing less than impressive! His sword seems kind of stubby, though it actually looks like a sword which is not always the case with American Transformers. His white and blue paint job looks nice, and his head looks like the classic Wheeljack head. His legs look like they ought to be stiff and cumbersome, but they are actually very easy to pose.
The doors can be annoying until you learn how to transform him properly (which is why I say take them off for now), and I had trouble with the piece that connects them to the shoulder. The screw kept falling out of mine (I super glued it finally) which can add to your pains although hopefully that's not common.
Someone asked me once if these were still as fun as they used to be. With Wheeljack's level of difficulty I wouldn't call him "fun," but as a display piece he is virtually unrivaled! Definitely don't buy him for a child's toy.
Availability sucks. I watched for a couple of weeks before I was able to place an order. Coming back to write this review I see that he's already unavailable again. Good look. If you need instructions on his transformation check out www.csspace.com/transformers

Utilizing the Grimlock mold, Wheeljack, transforming into a 2005 model Ford Mustang GT, features a new head sculpt; Wheeljackâ?TMs removable engine doubles as a double-barreled blaster. Following the Dinobotsâ?TM devolution into a savage state, Wheeljack journeyed to Earth for the purpose of transferring Grimlockâ?TMs personality component into a new Binaltech body. In the course of Wheeljackâ?TMs subsequent return to the Autobot Moonbase he ran afoul of Ravage, uncovering the latterâ?TMs scheme to manipulate time and witnessing his future death in the yet-to-occur Battle of Autobot City. Wheeljack learned that Ravage intended to alter history so that the Decepticonsâ?TM conquest of Cybertron was replaced by victory on the part of the Autobots, although only to pit the Autobots alone against the power of Unicron and leave those few who survived the resulting carnage vulnerable to the return of Megatron.
